Ohhhh yes, that low in the stomach dull ache, that's the ovaries. They get real sensitive for a few days. It sometimes feels like a stomach ache too, but usually it's lower. Everyone has diffrent pain levels--I used to have pain all 5 days till I went on the pill, then it reduced down to three days.
Someone showed me an accupressure point for when the cramping gets really bad (when it feels like a rusty knife is turning slowly!). Sit on a chair. Bring one foot over the knee of the other leg. Look at the ankle bone that sticks out and put three fingers next to it. Where the third finger is (up, not on the bone side) press two fingers there for a good 60 seconds while relaxing your stomach. This stops a LOT of the pain and cramping! It's accupressure for that particular problem.
You can do it on either leg, just measure up 3 fingers distance and press two fingers (the whole fingers, not the tips) on that section and relax. I can't tell you how many times I've resorted to that for relief!
Ibuprophin works good too, but taks 20 minutes to kick in. Aspirin never worked for me on cramping. For some people Alieve works well. But all those are blood thinners, so you do tend to bleed more... a trade off.

I'm like you, never "been all the way," and I have pain down there during my period, too, sometimes. My mother said it was normal, just uncomfortable. I had it more often as a teenager than I do now, at 23, so you may grow out of it (I don't know how old you are). The stomach pains are probably cramps. If you're uneasy about it, it wouldn't hurt (no pun intended) to ask a doctor about it, but personally I wouldn't worry. Just take some ibuprofen and buy a heating pad.

Sounds like cramps.. but you said private area hmmm usually its cramps in your lower abdominal not your privates {not normal} although everyones body does act different try taking some meds{pain killer} if that doesnt help or make the pain go away i'd say contact a doctor just to be safe.

Aside from regular cramps and back pain, some woman get a swollen vagina and pains shooting down towards it. It isn't very common, but it does happen. I have it and that is how I found out about this (via my doc). There is nothing to worry about. Just take some pain killers to help you feel better.

Do you mean your vagina hurts??? This is not usually normal so mention it to your doctor when go in. If you meant something else then be specific because you said private area and that could mean anything. When you post a question on here you have to say the word you mean. If you are talking about your vagina then say that or if you are talking about your rectum then say rectum. BE SPECFIC.

It's completely normal. When you have your period the muscles of your uterus contract to push out the lining, which is what cramps are. If you're really concerned, mentioned something to your mom or another adult female you trust.

the cramps are normal...most women get them. i'm not trying to be gross in return, but sometimes when i'm on my period and do a "kegal" exercise, it feels different....not necessarily painful, but not the way it would if i was off of my period. so i don't think you're abnormal

it's not abnormal, i fell the same way, and my gynacologyst said it was just effects from cramps due to your period... if it really concerns you though, go to a gynacologist and get a check up.
