my oil sending unit is leaking do i have to replace whole unit or do it my self but it only leaks from a screw/bolt that mounts it up to the block but leaks only in the morning time any suggestion

you would be better off in the long run replacing the whole unit, Some oil sending units require a special socket to prevent damage to the unit, depending on the design.

Yes the sending unit is a one piece unit and must be replaced as such.
Use a thread sealer on the new threads and don't over tighten it.

Just unplug the wire. Unscrew the sending unit. (have a rag handy) Clean the threads and put teflon tape on the threads or thread seal. And reinstall it...

Try unscrewing it, clean up the threads and wrap some teflon tape around the threads and reinstall. If its just the threads, you will find the leak is stopped. If the unit is cracked or defective, get a new one - they're pretty cheap

The sending unit is easily replace. Just un-screw it and install a new one.

take it out and clean it off good and then get some plumbers tape and wrap the threads with it and reinstall it.
