What does everyone think of the 2010 Olympic Mascots?

I'm just curious what people here think of the mascots.

I thought the idea of turning to aboriginal mythology was good as a focus for the mascots for the Vancouver Olympics. However, the execution by creating an 'Asian' influence on the look of these creatures was asinine.

If they were supposed to be of an aboriginal theme, then they should have made the mascots look more like proper native mythical creatures.

Once again, they haven't got a bloody clue. First time round, the ridiculous Inukshuk (I like them, just not as a BC theme) and now we have these stupid Hello Kitty themed mascots.

Who are running these promos? They need to be fired, because they have wasted a lot of money AGAIN!

I can imagine the meeting where they thought this up ...

Bob says, "Hey Bill (the names are made up), we need some mascots for the Olympic Games coming up; but keep in mind they need to be marketable."

Bill says, "Hmmm .... I know, I have a nephew that likes something called Pokemon or something like that."

Bob says, "Sure, lets rip that off, ... and try to slap some native culture in there somewhere, the public eats that crap up."

Bill says, "That sounds perfect! Consumers will love it! And I can put my useless brother in-law on it, I think he took an art class at the community college once."

No I surely haven't any interest in those wintry climate video games I see sufficient snow the position I stay. i imagine I did see it for a 2d even as replacing channels and they looked like shifting equipped forums like the Nascars with each of the classified ads on them

Well the kids like them and since they are for the kids I guess that's okay but personally I think they are a little... odd.

interesting. they do seem true to aboriginal themese I've sene in native art.

But they're missing Tripi, the stoned snowboarder.

I think they are ugly. They should have had more of a Canadian feel to them.
