first, you have to prepare the following materials:
different brands of antacid, water or hydrochloric acid solution, cups, spoon, stopwatch and thermometer. The constants in your study would be:
- Same amount of water per cup
- Same amount of antacid tablets per cup
- Same brand of glass (cup)
- Same water temperature
- Same amount of hydrochloric acid per cup
One at a time, put 2 antacid tablets into each glass. As soon as you put the tablets into the glass start the stopwatch and stir the water (or hydrochloric acid) continuously and slowly as the tablet is dissolving. As soon as the tablet is not visible anymore, stop the stopwatch. Record the time (in seconds) that it took for the antacid to dissolve. repeat the same steps to get the dissolving rate of other antacid tablets.

hope these helps. =]

If it is in the form of tablets, just drop them into a container of dillute acid (should be HCl; about the same concentration that would be in a person's stomach) and time how long it takes to disintigrate.
