I'm throwing my best friend a baby shower on sunday, and I need some ideas for games. I do have a budjet of 40 dollars to stick with for supplies for games. Does anybody have any good ideas? Thanks in advance!

I did some games on the cheap for my friends baby shower here are some of the ideas i came up with:
1. How big is Mom's belly?
Ask guests to cut a piece of string that they think will match closest to the size of the mother-to-be's stomach, if it were wrapped around her. The one who cuts of the right length or closest, wins.
2.Make a list of proper names of baby animals, like calf, fawn, joey, etc.. Make a list of 20 names.(search on the net for baby animals names, I found some really hard and funny ones) The guests have to name the mother animal. Whoever has the most correct names wins.
3. Scramble 10 words that are are to do with babies eg: bottle-lebtto, nappy- pynap..ect whoever is the fastest to get them all correct wins.
4. get 5 jars of baby food and a packet of disposable spoons and take the labels off so no-one knows what they are and number them 1-5 (keep a note of what numbers are what flavours) and get your guests to take a small spoonfull and write down what they think the flavour is. This is quite funny but make sure that no one is allergic to any foods.

I'm not sure what the games are called but i can tell you some fun ones to play.1st one is take a glass jar about medium size sit it away from your body and take clothes pins and see how many people can get in the jar keep a score sheet and have little prizes for whom ever wins,2nd if you know what she is naming the baby then write it down on paper and tell everyone to do the same and they have to make up words out of the babys name in so much time,3rd take a plate and sit it on your head have a table spoon and a bowl full of cotton balls then take the table spoon and they have to see how many cotton balls they can get on the plate and they have to wear a blind fold.

1st I'd go to a dollar store and get supplies they are just as good as the rest. As for games you can get a string and wrap it around your friend's belly to measure it and then have the guests take the string and have them guess what they think her measurement is. Also you can do a word scrambler with words of baby stuff make copies and give everyone a time limit to unscramble the words.

my sister played this game at my baby shower. find out what the baby weighed at birth and find out what he weighs now. have the guests guess the difference in weight.
you could put a mark under a chair or under a plate (assuming you are serving food) and whomever has the mark, wins the prize.
no need to spend lots on prizes. go to a dollar store. people don't like to play lots of games anyway.

At my cousins baby shower thay had a game where you had to guess which hollywood baby belongs to which hollywood parent. They had a poster of all the babies labelled a) thru to f) etc and a poster of the parents labelled 1,2 etc.
So everyone had to write on a piece of paper and match the baby to the parent. There was no prize it was just all for fun. I know it may sound sad but it was actually fun.
