Liberal,s and Communism are two different thing,s . Don't lump the two together or you will fail.-- Religion under Communism is out law,d because it is non conformity.In Communism everyone must conform to the state. The church dose not conform. It is a danger to the state because of this. Therefore it can not exist under Communism. That is the simplest answer. Hope this help,s.

I believe that liberals tend to be more respectful of other peoples beliefs and religions. A finatic religious person may be most intolerant of religion(s) that are not his own.
You are making an assumption that is not in evidence. I'm a Christian and Buddhist who feels that Hillary Clinton is way too conservative.
Deep religion and mysticism is the best antidote to a materialistic and consumerism driven society. I love people of all faiths and I love religion. I also want to help people who are barely making it financially and emotionally.
If you write this essay with this premise, I'd say that you'd be weaving a story that is not based in reality. How many liberals do you know well?

It should be "Why do liberals dislike religion?" If you're ever going to get to work on that essay, you should probably brush up on your grammar.
Liberals don't want or like communism. Yes you could have religion under communism, as long as it was the religion the government dictated you should have. Get it now?
That is why our learned and wise forefathers wanted to keep religion and government separated. Very simple.

Anyway, I really don't see how this can even be a question because, like many of the others who've responded to this worthless post, I'm a "liberal" (democrat) and I'm Catholic/Christian... However, we all know you're not religious until you're BOTH a) conservitive/republican b) a believer in jesus.
I also think I have a slightly better question. Why is it that for debatable issues, such as: aborition, gay marriage, creationism vs. evolution/darwinism, etc., it seems conservitives lean heavily on the bible to cite their justification... but when it comes to the issues concerning the environment, they seem to veer, oh, I don't know... a little left, perhaps? All I know is that, at least in my bible, the first thing God created was the earth.

Liberals, like conservatives, support the first amendment, guaranteeing freedom of religion and that the government will not set up a state religion.
Judging from this and your previous questions, this sounds like a very biased essay.

Um, you have swallowed the koolaid. Liberals don't hate religion. In fact if you did a poll of all the liberals (I know you mean Democrats) in the country, you will find than nearly all of them identify themselves as part of a church, nearly all believe in God, nearly all are either Jewish or Christian. There are probably more Republicans that do not believe in
God, but they say they do for the sake of power. But what liberals, the religious and non-religious sorts do NOT believe in, is a government which has been infiltrated by and given its power over to religious bodies. And the reason for that it not only cultural, but it is in violation of the Constitution which we are all supposed to honor and uphold.

Many liberals do not have any problem with religon. I am religous. What we have a problem with is merging religon with government. Our country was built on the basis of religon playing no part in our government. Liberals merely want to continue this.
