Hi, I am doing a Mock Trial case. I am the defense's pretrial lawyer, and I have to get certain evidence thrown out. The one I am stumped on in particular is on a (fake) test called Memory Mapping. It supposedly maps the brain activity of a suspect when shown things only the murderer would know.

Would most be appreciated if I could see what pretrial statements look like before I write this...

Links or suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance for all the help.

The general type of motion you are looking for is a pre-trial motion called a motion in limine.

It's not a statement, it's a motion.

What you need to do is file a motion to suppress. The link below is to a motion to suppress the results of a breath test from a Texas DUI lawyer.

The general format should show you what you need to introduce into your motion to suppress the 'memory mapping test' result.
