When I broke my glasses last year, while cleaning my toilet (long story), my boss gave me a $300 advance so that I could get the glasses I wanted and some contacts. Then when I tried to pay them back they told me not to worry about it.

My Co-workers, Paramedics, EMTs and Nurses, held a bake sale to help me buy school cloths and supplies for my kids. the raised about $300.00.

A woman and her family stopped me once while I was in uniform, and she sincerely thanked me for my years of service while in the US Navy. That was a really nice thing to happen.
