I hear you sister! I am in the same boat and my baby is 8.5 months. We went through hard times for a few months when he was up 5-7 times a night. Crying it out just wasn't for him...made it worse I feel. So, I finally realized that he just needs to be cuddled and started taking him to bed with me. Most nights, he is now only up twice instead of every hour. So, this is a much better situation. I did not plan to cosleep with him and would prefer him to sleep on his own as I do need some "me time" as well. But, I hear it will get better once they are over a year. Good luck! I wish you the best as I know how sleep deprived you must be!

He'll sleep on his own and through the night when he is developmentally ready to do so.
