Arod is the greatest Player of all time and he will break the record.
That being said injury and age can wear a body down.
With Arods condition program, his skills, and his grit. He can and will it.

If he stays healthy, absolutely.

At the rate that he is mashing the baseball the last 10 years, it is safe to assume he will be able to average 40 homeruns the next 6 years. If he does do that, he will tie Bonds' record on April 18, 2013 and break it on April 23, 2013.

That is if he averages exactly 40 homeruns a season over the next 6 years.

At his current pace, Alex Rodriguez may well become the record-holder for home runs in MLB. Six more years at an average of 40HRs/year would give him 758 HRs, 4 behind Barry Bonds. Rodriguez would "only" be 38 years old at that point. Eight years at 30HRs/year would also give him 758 at age 40. If he stays healthy, the sky's the limit.

HOWEVER, see Ken Griffey, Jr. for a warning of what can happen if the injury bug bites you...

I also say yes as long as he stays healthy.

I hope he stays free of steroids since right now the homerun record (Bonds) has that "stigma" - By the time A-Rod gets the record there could be a whole differant (unforseen now) conterversery.

It seems that when someone is on top of any record - there will be someone around to degrade him/her -it is like a jealousy factor or just the fact that on top is a target for nay-sayers.

Yes, if he stays healthy. Remember, there was a lot of hype surrounding Ken Griffey Jr. before his injuries with Cincinnati. I doubt Rodriguez will have the same problems though, because Rodriguez did a lot more conditioning than Griffey did. And Rodriguez doesn't make diving catches in the outfield which cause him to get injured. And A-Rod will have that great lineup surrounding him in New York.

i think of he can yet i do no longer think of he will do it in manhattan. in case you seem at his occupation, aside from the time spent in manhattan, he has been with communities that for the main section play meaningless video games. What I mean by way of that's that for the period of advance of coming to manhattan and the single playoff season in Seattle, his communities have been out of the pennant races. as a result, there has been little if any tension for him to "carry the gang" with a view to communicate. He has proved that he can't play decrease than tension so I doubt that he would be a Yankee lengthy term. whilst the day comes whilst he leaves manhattan he will proceed to submit vast "non tension" stats and at last wreck the domicile run record.

I averaged out what he's done in his career so far and he's averaging 37 home runs and 107 RBI's per year. If you take into consideration 32 and 97 for the next ten years, he finishes with 868 --- more than enough to knock Barry out of first place.

I think he will pass Barry Bonds for iy but will get passed by albert Pujols because he is off to the best home run start ever with 30 or more his first seven years

If he stays healthy there is no reason to believe he won't be. In New York he will always be surrounded by a stacked lineup and pitchers won't be able to walk A Rod like they did Bonds. There is no reason to think A Rod won't hit 800 home runs.

yes, a-rod is still fairly young and has a good 10 years left under his belt. he is already the youngest to hit 500. he averages 40+ longballs a year so it will be easy for him

I think he will but like the case with Griffey Jr it all depends on staying healthy. But he keeps in great shape so I fell it will happen.
