That's somewhat of an accurate assessment.. with the exception of "Paul = liberal".. I assume this may because of his position on the war, but he is actually taking the conservative stand.. the republican party has traditionally been the anti-war/less government party, it's lost it's way not Congressman Paul

No! you have Huckabee categorized incorrectly. Don't believe the B.S. you read on here. Check his record and the net diff they referred to on taxes after the debate is over what period of time?
He is a moderate conservative, further to the right of McCain.
Other than that, Yes!

Tancredo, Hunter and Thompson the top conservatives. Yes we do have three great candidates, that any or all will spell another Democrat Defeat that will be blamed on Bush in 2008. The world is to dangerous to risk having a Democrat Liar in the White House.

Hunter and Tancredo are conservative, I don't think Guliani is a liberal, Paul is a Libertarian, McCain is not a conservative and I can't say what the others are. I hope they are as you labeled them, but they are politicians and they just may be saying what they want people to hear not what they actually believe. Which is what scares me.

Paul and Guiliani would best be classified as libertarian, Huckabee as populist. I would consider Romney to be a moderate, similar to McCain. The others are conservative, to varying degrees.

I am Liberal and if a Republican were to get elected my first choice would be Romney and my last would be Giuliani. I don't know much about Hunter and Tancredo so I may like them less than Giuliani if I knew more. It is not just where people stand on a laundry list of issues that matters, but which issues that presidents have the power to act on, and presidents don't have much power over cultural values but they control foreign policy.

Ron Paul is the only classic conservative on the list. But since it's not Christian Right, to some it seems liberal.

Ron Paul is certainly no liberal (not even remotely).
Other than that though I would say that is basically and generally a correct assessment of their philosophies.

all except paul and tancredo
Ron Paul is a constitutionalist, a true conservative
tancredo is a wackjob
the rest are extreme neocons, who like everyone running on the dems side of the aisle, are carter-reagan-bush-clinton-bush-clinton clones
