For the record, I'm not a top contributor in this category, only in three of the computer categories. Also for the record - you can only be a top contributor in three categories, according to what I've read on this site. (Although finding out how that works took more digging than I want to repeat.)

I have always wondered about why it is important to become a top contributor.. what the heck is that worth.. other than mabey self satisfaction for having spent so much time on answers.. I am not knocking it.. but it seems to me.. that giving good answers to people who really need them should be the goal.. I figure that if I give one good answer to a tough question and it helps the asker..then the time I spend here is worth the effort.. to me.. being a top contributor and 1.79 will get you a can of beans.. I enjoy your questions.. and answers.. if I had a vote.. I put you at the top.. now.. go stand in front of the mirror and slap yourself.

Many many moons have surpassed when you consider that TC badges have been given in P&S. that is totally strange that P&S grow to be to that end penalised, whilst different categories are crying out to be devoid of any TC nonsense. a minimum of P&S used to have many humorous and poetic participants.
