i want people with both games to reply because of course everybody else will just say halo3.

Well you sure asked a difficult question. I do have both games, I got Halo 3 the week it came out and I got Call Of Duty 4 about a week and a half ago. Even though they are both first person shooters they are very different in gameplay, so the first thing you should ask yourself is whether you want a very realistic modern shooter or a futuristic fantasy game that is a little more unrealistc. I think that both games are very good online and off but I felt the campaign in COH4 was the better of the two. At times it felt almost like a high budget hollywod movie, it engages you and the gameplay is fun. The AI actually reacts realistically when they get shot, they crawl or sometimes use their pistol on the ground. The halo three campaign is also good but it can get confusing at times. As for online play both of these games are a good choice if you have Xbox live. Call of duty 4's multiplayer is very in depth with weapon upgrades and new guns as you progress. Halo 3 also has great multiplayer but doesnt have as much depth with only a Rank and Skill level. Halo 3 does have a better system for matching players of the same skill however. If I had to pick one of these games I would have to say that Call of Duty 4 is the better one. The campaign was just more fun overall and the multiplayer is more rewarding. Halo has a good story too, and the multiplayer is very fun but I feel COH4 rises to the top.

call of duty 4 is better because its not about the old wars like the last 3 this one is like today times and its really realistic you can call in airstrikes and choppers , stab people etc. halo 3 is pretty much like halo 2 in my opinion just a different story line and a few things that got changed online and stuff.

Call of Duty 4 is the best game ever. Some of the most realistic shooting. I love the c130 gunning. That level looks like those Iraq night vision battles I see on youtube. cool cool cool

if u have xbox live get halo 3 if u dont get call of duty 4 because after u beat the campaing on halo 3 it gets boring unless u can play online

COD4!!!!!!!!!!!.....but if u want something better than COD4, then get BATTLEFIELD 2 for the PC. that game is insane!!!
