clearly, there are many teams in need of good big men to strengthen their front court, such as orlando, cleveland, miami, charlotte, houston even phoenix and boston. but why hasnt any team sign webber and PJ brown? despite of their weaknesses, those guys still can play and will surely become big contributor for their teams. i don't think they will cost much either. any thoughts?

Orlando and Boston don't need them. These two guys are too slow for Phoenix, and Miami and Houston have some big guys already. Cleveland might depending on Varejao could probably use one of them (I suspect Brown before C-Webb). Honestly, I don't see anything in Webber that makes him at all attractive to an NBA team. He bombed big time in Phili and didn't do much in Detroit. PJ Brown, like Webber, is troubled personality. I think Brown will probably find a home as the season gets older and injuries pile up. Honestly, I don't see either of these guys as the missing piece of the puzzle for the elite teams, and they would just take minutes away from younger players on bad teams.

webber is probably asking for too much money and he's not worth that money. i would sign him if i was in charge of a team but not at the price he will be asking. as for pj brown, well he still hasn't decided whether he's retiring or not. i think everyone got tired of waiting on brown so they gave up

it because chris webber has a huge salary and when he was in detroit, he didn't really make a great difference. he's also getting old. sooo team owners and general managers didn't put time on those kind of players. mostly all of `em are into younger legs....you know wat i mean?
about P.J. Brown, it's just that he's not a really good player. yes, he can contribute big numbers but if you'll at every game he has played, you'll see that he's not consistent.
he's not a big name that teams would run after him.
in short, they are just old and not that good.

i'd rather sign PJ Brown than webber. the ball just stops moving whenever webber has it. PJ at least knows his role.

Chris Webber is old and washed up. He is way too slow, and plays horrible defense. I would take P.J. but not for anything over the Veteran's minimum salary.

Webber is too old, Brown is too old... Their knees can't take over 15 mins per game

i am thinking that most teams are going to wait until later on in the system and sign them for like half the season (kind of like a "hired gun" for the stretch run- i think Jalen Rose also falls into that category. At their ages they can't give you very many minutes...

That's my thought.
