I very rarely think of the Northbridge earthquake. When I do, I think about the World Series game that was interrupted and the freeway that collapsed.

The 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake caused the freeway collapse during the world series, not the Northridge quake (not -bridge). As far as what I think of it, I believe it happened, and that it caused positive changes to be made in public policy to prevent further loss of property and life from earthquakes.
