There are folks visiting on seniors that are all ages. It is a safe place where you usually get funny or good answers. There is not a lot of sarcasm here as on other sites.
I know there are a few on here that do a lot of hiking but don't know about biking. there are new people showing up all the time. Oh by the way ,Welcome . We usually try to ignore the ones who pop in from time to time to insult us, just so you know what to expect.
I mentioned in another post that I've been to Bisbee twice and it is like a picture postcard. You are lucky to live there.

I'm not sure if you can call it bicycle touring but I've pedaled my old bicycle on the Rails to Trails bicycle paths near Des Moines, Iowa. It was a lot of fun. My husband and I did that one June vacation and would like to do it again. We were 55 years old when we took that bicycle vacation trip.

I own a bicycle and we have the Lake Wobegon trail here by the park . My son and I ride in the summer but no major distance because of my knees and his asthma.

If thats a touring at all, I ride my Lamborghini bike at short distances of a 5 mile radius, at 6 yrs of age older than you.
I believe it is the sport of older people, because you seat on it, and do not carry all of your vody weight.
I also iceskate to defeat part of gravity, feeling light on the ice.

UGH! I try to avoid bikes and such.

I prefer to walk....when you walk, you are completely in touch with everything around you....you don't have to watch out for traffic or obstacles or pedestrians.

As for touring by bike? I'll pass. Give me a car to get me there and I'll walk through it.
