I have recently dyed my hair, and im planning to chemically relax it over winter break.(it's super curly.) I want to change my overall appearence and confidence level for the new year. Any suggestions?

It would be nice to know how you are. Depending on your age you may be making a transformation without any outside help.

Confidence really comes from the inside, not from your appearance. If you don't like yourself it will be hard to get others to like you. Believe me, they will feed off of your self feelings, not some chemically relaxed hair. Present yourself for who you really are, not some artificial person.pp

Okay, Lili, but it's probably not needed. I wish my hair was curly and thick. Go to a stylist and have her do all that, and get a hair cut. That's where I would splurge. Then go to a nice nail and pedicure place and get your nails and toenails done. You can get acrylic nails, but they require a lot of maintenance (fill ins--they put a filler on the bottom of your nail as it grows out) and sometimes you need to have a nail replaced, and it's expensive. So maybe just a nice manicure and polish will do. You have to be a little worried about picking up a nail fungus, though I never have, so maybe ask around. Then go to Wal-Mart and get some cute outfits, pants and blouses and sweaters and other tops and maybe a black skirt and some cute shoes and socks and underwear. Or go to Kohls with all those coupons they offer. If money is no object, then go to a cool store to shop. Keep your clothes laundered and hung up. Regardless of what day it is and whether you are going anywhere or not, make a habit of showering and blowing out your hair and putting on a little makeup--foundation, mascara, lipstick, and a blush or a bronzer. The most important part of a change in appearance is a smile on your face and a positive attitude. Nobody has a perfect life, though it may look like it on the outside. Make the best of IT--that is, whatever comes your way. Keep up on current events, especially for your age group so you always have a little something to talk about to almost anybody. Find a positive outlet--volunteer, write, draw, puzzles, reading. Eat 3 well balanced meals a day, fruit and veggies for snacks, no junk and limited fast food, and drink a lot of water and give up sugared drinks. Best Wishes and Happy New Year.

Okay first of all I want 2 tell you don't over do the hair thing. See I have such wierd hair, one day its curly one day its straight. I don't think you should get it chemically relaxed but u try 2 deal with it but i mean if theres no possible way u can then go for it. just don't keep on doing this 2 ur hair. To change ur overall confidence you must go about things and just go for it. Be impulsive which will get your confidence up. Trust me thats how I became confident and not shy. Try and appeareance just go to stores you'd never thought you go to u never know whats in there. Srry if this doesn't help.

I think one of the biggest mistakes people make is start to use wayyy to much makeup. In my opinion, most girls should just wear simple black eyeliner (Mac is great). It's much more attractive.

If you don't already, start exercising. No, I'm not saying your fat, haha. But, exercising is a great way to not only feel physically better (more energy, etc.) it's also great for your mind too :] It really does help you become happier.

Try a new style? Often online stores have little "Complete this look with:" along the side. Those are often a great way to get some good outfits and such. Hope that helps?

new hobby
find a philosophy on life.
I actually think
it would have been smart
if you started the internal change
before you did the external
because your internal change always
changes your appearance.
