Your son would be Jay-Z. :)
I think it's fine. You've taken two classic names - James and Alexander - and tweakd them both. The result is something a little unusual, but with some real flair.
The only possible objection I can imagine are that Jamison is used for girls as well as boys. But so are Ryan and Kyle ... you really can't win on that one.
Best wishes!

I think Jameson is less teasable, if you will. I prefer Xander to Zander, just because I feel it looks more complete and solid. Zander to me, written down, as on a resume, looks silly. Like the parents didn't know how to spell. That or they were following the "creative" trends in names.
The only other issue I see is the I instead of the E. I think Jameson is more common, so it will be easier on everyone to spell it the common way. It will be easier for him to learn.
I love the name, just not so much the spelling. I don't know if that would lead to much teasing, but it may make life a little difficult. But, you get name misspelling with any name. My name is Kelsey, but people always mess it up. I'm either Chelsea or Kelsie.
The name, however is very masculine and strong. I love it, and it will grow with him. I see no problem with the "son" ending. Some of my favorite names end the same.

I'd use the traditional Xander spelling, personally, but other than that the name is fine. Jamison is one of the few -son names that doesn't (yet) seem completely overused and trendy, and the variety of nickname options certainly helps (he could just as easily use Jamie, Jem, Jake or even simply James, for instance).
For what it's worth, however, Jason and Allison most certainly do NOT mean "son of Jay" and "son of Allie." ROFL Those are exceptions to the rule, obviously, so not at all the sort of examples that will work for your argument. LOL But for what it's worth, I do hate the trendy bandwagon mentality of Madison and most other "son" names used for girls. It just makes it seem the parents were completely ignorant of the actual meaning, simply choosing a name because they'd heard it on a dozen other little girls, but with little to no regard concerning the actual origin and meaning itself. Just not my style.

Whoever the "everyone" you're referring to doesn't have a clue what they're talking about.
Madison & Allison are sweet names
Jamison Zander_____ is not a name I'd saddle my son with. Yes, he may have to put up with lots of teasing all his life, so spare him that. If Zander is a name you are set on, then choose a name that will flow smoothly with the last name as well. If Zander has no significance, then I'd pitch that name out, so choosing the first name will be easier.

Personally I love the name. I looks good and sounds good. Now, I'm just playing devil's advocate and you said, and this probably wouldn't even be a problem. But, because of his initials J.Z. kids could call him "****" in high school and stuff. Of course, that's assuming they know his middle name. Also, that's assuming **** is even a popular word when he's in school. Slang changes so quickly.
Other than that, I think it's a perfectly lovely name!
Lol, woah. I didn't realize that word would be blanked out. I didn't think it was as bad a word as all that. Ok, at the risk of offending people, the word I was thinking of was:
j i z z

I kind of like Jamison. Depends on how well it fits with the last name.
I'm not crazy about Zander, even in its more common spelling of Xander. I think Jamison Z. B__ would look weird on a buisness card.

I love the name Jamison, and Jamison Z. B____ sounds professional enough to me. The only teasing I can think of is people calling him Jami which he may not like b/c it is kind of feminine. I love the name, that would be my only consideration.

I like it a lot! He will probably get nicknamed Jamie by school budies (which is good!) or possibly 'JZ' which is funky and cute. Can't find fault with the initials so overall a good combination! I can't find any problems. Its a solid name!
Oh and it never occured to me about only naming him Jamison if he is 'James Son'. Thats just stupid so don't listen to anyone saying that
best of luck
