In my opinion the only difference between a faithful marriage and monogomous relationship is the legal contract. There is a few perks legally, aside from that, it's the same relationship but some peoples perceptions change. Perception is 100% reality so if someone views marriage as a bigger commitment then they will act like it.
I believe if people realize if you are not commited prior to marriage then chances are you will not be that commited when you get married then maybe there wouldn't be that many divorce. It can also be the fact that divorce is becoming more acceptable so people feel that if it doesn't work then they can divorce and they won't look like black sheeps in a sea of white.
Marriage has not change, the peoples perception of marriage has changed which I feel is the cause of the change or lack of commitment.

You know, I felt that same way for so long. Was married at too young of an age, divorced 7 years later with 2 children in 1984. Was divorced for 22 years stating "I will NEVER do that again", then met a wonderful man. We have so much in common and best of all, we respect one another. We've been married 13 months now and every single day, i thank God for him.

I still believe if the right 2 people are married and share, give, and support, Marriage does still mean something it always has..... it always will. What we see are the splits, No one concentrates on the marriages that stand the test of time. Seems we need to change that focus!

I think marriage still has meaning. I just recently got married and it is the best thing in the world having someone that you can count on.

Being married is great - besides the obvious benefits (ie sex, companionship, etc) there's things like being able to claim "family" rights at hospital intensive care units.
I highly recommend the institution of marriage.
:o)

Sometimes... I guess I think the same way
And then I think I might already have my special somone...
I guess a wait a couple years until im 18. It means something... True Love OfCourse!
If you cant find that special someone I guess there is no use getting married. Take your time... Marriage is a good thing*******************************************Half the time~!
Good luck finding that special someone!

Not me..i just want the party and to know that my partner and I are committed to each other. Marriage is just a piece of paper and paying way too much money for it.
