Well when he married his cousin, they were long time childhood friends and assumed they were third cousins, but after 12 years of marriage they found out they were really second cousins. Now I do not know if they divorced because they found out they were second cousins or because the marriage had just run it's course. Being he announced his intentions to divorced his second wife the mother of this two children, at a news conference, to marry his present wife, my guess would be he was just moving on.

Giuliani is too liberal to sleep with his cousin and not as conservative as a Republican.

His first marriage was to his second cousin, who he had spent childhood family vacations with. He didn't technically get a divorce, he got an annulment on the grounds that he didn't get the proper go-ahead from the Catholic church to marry a second cousin in the first place.
