Probably a drive line seal.
Take it in and get it checked, as this will not get better.
If you are lucky. it may be a loose oil pan.

For a car its age, this could be normal. this could be a sign that the pan gasket needs changed. best thing to do first is check the color of the fluid. If it is pink or light brown, change the gasket, filter, and fluid. If it is black or very dark brown, just snug up the bolts, and leave it alone. this transmission is on its way to hell in a hand basket, and if you change the fluid, you're gonna be left on the side of the road somewhere. reason is, the burnt fluid has the worn off friction material floating in it, and this material is basically giving the clutch plates the friction they need to operate. So, armed with this advice, don your work clothes and go play under hood!

If the transmission has not been serviced, please take it to a reputable transmission shop for a service, there is more to a transmission service than just changing the oil and filter. Some models have to have the bands adjusted. They will also check for leaks at the seals, proper linkage adjustment, etc.
