my whole family ( I'm the grandma and 2 daughters and 3 grandkids live here and do this also) saves change in individual jars and that is our individual souvenir money for our family vacations! This past May, we spent 2 weeks in England and even the kids had managed to save about $140 each and bought all their own souvenirs!

I put all of my loose change(except $1&$2) into the kid's piggy banks. The loonies and twonies go towards Timmy's or the french fry stand LOL
So, to answer your question..I save it and spend it.

Save it. I once saved $350.00 in change in three months, from my tips. I was able to buy gifts for all my nephews, nieces and friends kids. It was great. :)
Right now, we are saving the change for a bit of Vacation with the kiddos.

Save it...makes for a well paid for vacation at the end of the year. I never pay exact change for anything!

I save it until it starts making my wallet feel like it weighs 20 pounds, then I take it to the nearest CoinStar and get "real" money.
