I've been on only one blind date in my life, and that was probably 30 years ago! It tuned out I already knew the girl - she was a friend of a classmate's sister. However, it was a good pairing.

We hadn't talked much before, but the girl and I started a conversation in the car when we picked her up (it was a double date), and that lasted through the ride, through a White Sox double header - we barely paid attention to a grand slam in the second game - and all the way back to her place again. Needless to say, we started hanging out together, although I don't know that you could say we were "dating". The friendship lasted a few months then died out. I don't recall if I've seen her since.

I've never been on a blind date. The closest thing was the first face to face meeting with someone I met on an on-line personals site.

Right after my divorce...it was the first and the last time. We went to the movies, and he tried the penis in the popcorn trick (stuck it up through the bottom of the bag). I never went on a blind date again after that.

Twice in my life, first one was about 9 years ago and it had me wishing I was really blind.

The second was about five years ago and he turned out to be my older brother's old college roommate. To make matters even more awkward, he showed up drunk.
After that I decided never again.
