Today I cam home and noticed my lepoard gecko which i've had for about 2-3 years had a puffy eyelid. The other is fine but he will barely open his left one. He also doesn't seem to be bothered by it and he just goes on with his daily routine of sleeping and laying around. Any suggestions?

What substrate do you use?

My first hypothesis would be that you have a sand or similar substrate and a piece of debris has gotten into his eye. My suggestion to that would be to change to paper towel and rinse his eye with pure saline drops a few times a day.

It could be a vitamin A deciciency or an infection, but I think its less likely as those things don't really happen overnight, wheras debris irritating the eye can.

Could either be some shed skin stuck under the eyelid, or more commonly an infection. The vet really needs to check it out.
