My father is a freak with his Cadillac. He absolutely loves this thing. I overheard him say that he wanted a 12-inch orbital buffer. I've been to all of the local stores to find one for him for Christmas and haven't seen anything larger than a 10-inch. He says that a 10 inch is so much harder to work with than a 12-inch, any truth to this. Where would be a good site to look to find a NEW 12-inch buffer like this? Also, I want to get him a good one so what am I lookin at for a price? Thanks everyone, Ya'll are a big help.

The Porter Cable is designed for polishing cars it is a variable speed orbital buffer. It has all the pads and accessories to do a fantastic job. The link below is where I got mine, I also recommend getting the Klasse all in One polish and the Klasse Glaze. He will have absolutely the most perfect finish on his car possible with these products.

Good luck finding a 12-inch buffer.... I searched e-bay and the best I could find was a buffer that was for professionals which is the DW-849 made by DeWalt. This item runs roughly $300. Although you can get the cheap 10" buffers for around $20... The DeWalt comes with quite a few accesories for the car too and is a variable high speed buffer.

Mikeee,
A 12" buffer will spin him around the world. I hope you're speaking of an orbital buffer. An untrained person holding on a plain 7"- 8" circular buffer stands a great chance of burning the paint. What's the hurry? An 8"-10" orbital will do a fast perfect job. Sears has a pretty darn good 10 inch orbital that works well.
