Well, if I got disappointed over that I guess I'd be disappointed all the time. So, I'd say I just accept it and move on. And when I do get the things I want I appreciate them so much more. Besides sometimes the things we want aren't the best things for us in the long run.

Expectations = premeditated resentment. Learned to let go of that one a long time ago so ... to answer your question, don't get disappointed at all any more. Pretty good life, for this cat at any rate. Mainly because I "want" for nothing.

as I age I come to live to live with it for the high expectations of youth are no longer a driving factor. I now set realistic goals for myself, so I am less likely to suffer from the disappointment
