I believe that speaks to what has gone wrong with our country. Anyone agree? Disagree (respectfully)?

I believe that it is the dishonesty in Govt. that has disenfranchised many would be voters from participating in the "American process". The fact that more people voted on such shows as American Idol just proves that that program is far more honest and entertaining than anything our Govt. can dream up! I do not like the show American Idol or the President of this country. While this is indeed a very sad commentary, I doubt that it has anything to do with whats gone wrong with our country!

Many people who can vote on American Idol are too young to vote for president. Keep in mind you have to be 18 to exercise your right to vote in real elections. So I don't think it speaks to anything like that. There's no comparison.

Scary huh! I believe it though after all what easier pick up the phone and vote or go the the polling places stand in line prove your identity and then vote? Americans can be so lazy!
