She suffers from cookie-cutter pop. Basically put any kind of pop tune background with a young teen singer and you expect a hit -- except people are tired of that scene. It's great that she has youth and it seems that she'd be great for pop, but it's nothing new.
The hot young artists now are fresh and original -- something like Colbie Caillet. The teen pop scene's been done. Britney, Christina Aguilera... they came out with similar pop tunes like 10 years ago.
Jordin seems like a nice enough person, but it's good for TV -- not for selling CD's. I'm a bit more interested in seeing how Blake's CD might do. I doubt that it will sell amazing numbers, but maybe his original beatboxing might help.

Tattoo sounds like its a single from 1995. Look at the current pop songs that are coming out, pop music has grown up a lot since the 90s. I like the single and the lyrics are good, but it just sounds very outdated.
Seems to me like the American Idol managers only push artists they think can really sell and usually help them find songs that are suited for them better. They did more to promote Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, than some of their other contestants like Jordin.

I think people are tired of the show "American Idol" and the pre-fabricated artists who are essentially only karaoke singers. They want performers with more substance, like those who can play their own instruments or write their own songs.
