Oh your property? It would be your decision if they stay or go. On his property? If you don't like them say so. Otherwise enjoy the greenery.

My first reaction would be "Why would a neighbor do this?" I can't imagine anyone who would just plant trees on my property. I would be confused and then probably curious. I'm not an anger freak. I would go talk to the neighbor to find out just why this was done and proceed from there. Who knows what the answer might be. Depending on the answer, I may nor may not remove the trees.

Hi, it all depends on the tree and which side of the house it's growing. And depends on what your neighbor is trying to mask. Are you a careful and considerate neighbor who keeps garbage bins tucked away out of site? Does your neighbor have a window view overlooking your property where naff and disgusting junk is piled up? Well, if so, the solution is to plant a barrier of trees. Otherwise-- in the nicest possible way -- have a discussion with neighbor. Don't go in all mob-handed, prickly and "my god-given rights" all over you. That's dumb and unproductive. You're neighbors for heaven's sake.

It would depend first on what I thought of the neighbor. Mine is really pushy and wants to "garden" and "landscape" all the grounds.

I am assuming that you are from Texas based on your screen name and I am as well. The concern is what kind of trees were planted. Trees can get huge here in Texas specially if they are of the oak or pecan variety.

If you like them, then leave them. If you don't like them or are concerned about the long term effects, have the neighbor remove them or you remove them and give them to your neighbor.

As long as he stays away from the sewer line, foundation, sidewalks and driveway, he could plant til he couldn't plant anymore. But if I have trouble with any of the mentioned things he'd be paying for the repairs!

I would be absolutely furious! I would tell them to remove them and fix the ground they messed up with the holes they had to dig to plant them. What kind of idiot would take it upon themself to plant trees in their neighbor's yard? Then put up a no trespassing sign and hold them to it if they try something so stupid again.

If it was a friend of mine, it would be no big deal, but if it was just an acquaintance or someone I did not know, I would take them down. That is if you owned the property that they were put on.
