Ok here is a problem I'm faced with. 14,000 m2 = ? km2

Fourteen thousand meters squared is equal to blank kilometers squared.

I need intsrutions on how to do this. I'm completley confused.

1,000m=1km
(1,000m)^2=(1km)^2
1,000,000m^2=1km^2
1m=.000001km
14,000m=0.014 square kilometers

since the unit is m^2, you need to also square the conversion. to convert you are basically mulitplying by 1. so (1 km / 1000 m)

14,000 m^2 * (1 km / 1000 m)^2 = .014 km^2
