Here I am,
16 years old,
killing myself to get good grades in school.
I'm under immense stress all the time,
and have at least 3 hours of homework,
and still do horribly.

But, we, as mankind waste so much time.
We kill ourselves for 14 years in school, to get a high school diploma, to apply to a school, where we will kill ourselves to get a simple piece of paper that says, "So and so went here for an education."
WONDERFUL.
Now, the lucky ones, get their dream job! They manage to bring home the bacon, and maybe even get married!

A few years down the road, we have grey hair now, our marriage has went from love, to companionship about children, and 50 percent of us are on our way to divorce court.

Oh, and let's not forget our dream job, which we now hate, and has turned our passion in life to crap in our hands.
Then, our death creeps up on us, taking everything we worked hard for, and make it nonsense.
GREAT.
Life is a moment of happy here and there. Why care?

Trust me,
I'm not being pessimistic,
but I think this the truth.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm thankful for the life my God has given to me though.

Our world system is screwed up immensly though.

I completely agree with the whole, "world needs each other" scenairio, but must we make it, so that een down to our youth suffer because of this.

We have become a society full of money centered people.

And, I'm sorry if I come off mean in this,
I really don't mean to be, but because a character limits, I have to put it bluntly.

Yes we are a part of mankind. But we all are responsible for our actions and reactions in life.

You don't have to "kill yourself" to get good grades, stay married or raise a family. Its all about your attitude, if you choose to care or not. To be sure, we can't control a lot of things that happen in our lives, but we can control our reactions to the events that shape our lives.

You can choose to overcome the defeatism that is shaping your opinion right now. You should realize that your life will not be the same ten years, ten months or even ten days from now. You must be able to recognize that you are your own worst critic at times and life is not as horrible as it seems.

If you care about life, you in turn, will influence others, they will begin to care more, therefore life gets better for everyone.

I agree. I am in middle school and my parents get me really stressed about grades. I don't even like grades. It just shows who is smarter than others and sometimes make people's self confidence go way low. I don't even know why we have to take 14 years of school just to get ready for 2 hard years in college.

Wow, way to be pessimistic. Get help. Seriously.

Edit: I agree, the system is screwed. But life is what you make it. Who says you have to be a drone like the rest of them?

well what kind of world would we live in without doctors, lawyers, electricians or even nurses, and teachers and grocery sales people..whatever! we all have to work together to make the world go round.

and most people do get their dream job if they work really hard. don't be afraid to fail though..because failure is good sometimes..it can make you stronger and wiser.

cheers!

I've been thinking the same ever since this school year started... and you know what? I put on a good album and it takes me away for awhile.
I know how you feel and I feel for you...
Do something you enjoy for awhile, maybe you'll feel a tad better.

i am sorry that you are feeling like this but if you think positive things of the education you will find it easy to deal with.

right now you are attracting negative feeling toward yourself and when you attract something or someone it keeps coming back to you and stronger so i suggest you try the positive things of the education and you will feel better and you will attract positive feeling toward you and things will feel great.

I wish you try what i told you and you will see what i am talking about.
