Ok this is a serious question no wise cracks please. Heres the story, my husband has always told me he doesn't masterbate, which I am not an idiot I know all men do, but then I caught him 7 years into our relationship and let him know he didn't have to lie to me, I am open minded and he swears he only did one other time when I was pregnant. I feel kind of betrayed by him for his lying to me. What do you think? I just can't help the betrayed feeling for the lie.

He knows I am very opened minded, maybe he is just embarrassed, it isn't the fact he does it it is the fact he knows I am opened minded and I wouldn't get angry, it is the lying that upsets me

A lot of women freak out over this. They take it as a sign of rejection that he would rather do it himself than with her. Nothing is further from the truth. He could have experience that in his past. They say one thing and then when you tell them the truth they never let you forget it. He could just be guarding himself against this happening again. I would think by now that he would know how you are and that you are not going to freak out on him. Have you talked to him? Tell him how you feel and that his lying to you makes you feel betrayed.

Personally, I would not worry about it. Maybe he is embarrassed about it and does not feel comfortable talking about it. It he does it 3 times a day or 3 times in his life who cares. I can understand your sense of betrayal, however it's not that big of a deal. If he lied all the time about his sexual desires or lack there of I would be more concerned. As a side note...I have been married for 10 years....caught my hubby ... well I just lost count. Maybe he is telling the truth.

I understand that you are feeling betrayed for him lying to you, but maybe he just feels embarrassed for you to know that he masturbates. I have never thought of asking my husband if he ever masturbated while we were together it never crossed my mind. Good luck

So he musn't feel comfortable enough about the subject to tell you, his wife, about how he masterbates. Most men do it, married or not. Some will own up to it, some never will. Your feelings of betrayal are justified, however, that's exactly way he doesn't feel he can talk to you about it. Personally, I got over it...but it does take some work on your part to do this...

Don't be silly about it. He does it and has much more than he claims. He is probably just embarrassed. Let it go. He is going to do it, just be happy he is not doing it with someone else.
