Besides the AFI top 100 films ever, I am putting together a list of movies I must see. I've got about 30 so far. But I know I am missing alot of good flicks. Preferably, I would like movies made after 1970, because I'm only in high school. I want to have an idea of the era/setting and what the movie is about. And I don't really want to see black/whites! Any movie you know and love from any genre will be awesome!
So just post a movie title!
Thanks

If you like baseball: 61* is the greatest baseball film ever made.
Horror film: Poltergeist
Romantic Comedy: While You Were Sleeping
Comedy: Blazing Saddles
Musical: The Blues Brothers

That's five of my favorites. Enjoy!

You're excluding a lot of very good movies if you limit yourself to those made after 1970, and no black-and-whites. If you really love movies, it shouldn't matter if a movie is older or black-and-white. Anyway, here is a list of some of my favorites that may be lesser known.

Why only after the 70's? Why no black and whites? You don't seem very committed to movies.

I'm a sophomore and have been watching movies made since 1898 for the past three years.
