You answered your own question and if the handle becomes that slipperly then you have used too much lotion. It should not take several mintues to absorb to the degree that it is not getting onto everything you touch.

I would suggest that you go ahead and turn the knob and open the door a bit before lotioning. That can be a pain in the a s s.

You've applied too much lotion and you must really rub the cream or lotion until they dry off from your skin which means they are fully absorbed into your skin.

If not, it is a total waste of your effort and money.

cuz the lotion makes ur hand slippery and therefore u cant open the already slipperly door handle
