Not really a question, more like a blog I guess.
I'm just watching this Republican debate, and the audience is contradicting themselves in their applause.

We clap, we boo (out loud or in our heads)
and we will vote. Mostly I'm addressing this to the voters by which their president would be elected.

In closing, I hope all of you don't vote based on Democrat or Republican or whatever.
As one person put it, "Anyone who votes on something without thinking about it or getting the facts, and just because you think you belong to a certain group, that person is an idiot"

Make a smart, personal decision everyone! While it's just one vote you cast, it makes a difference - if no one voted, then it wouldn't work you know.

- sorry if this question makes no sense, but I just wanted to say everything after "in closing" :)

I knew it was a mistake to ask this question. I should have asked in the food category maybe. I don't want to hear your political rantings. Nor your crazed, nonsense answers. Thank you kindly. (This is mostly for the first answer-er)

lol - I think you guys misunderstand what I mean by We get the president we vote for.
What I mean is we get the president we deserve.
"We" are the people that vote for the president-elect.
The people that voted for Bush - whether they like him or not, his record or not - they voted for him, and that's what they asked for, they get it.
That's all I meant, lol so I wanted people to make an informed decision and not just vote Republican because they are Republican for example.

I have to say, I'm not thrilled with most of the Republican candidates - but I'll never again vote for a Democrat as long as Socialists run their party. Socialists are enemies of our Constitution and freedom.

My vote will be honest, based on issues. Even if Guliani is the top contender, I will not vote for him because of his support for anti-Constitutional gun control laws. That automatically disqualifies him from a job requiring him to take an oath of loyalty to the Constitution.

We will get the president we vote for - I sure hope that the book cover did not deceive us as to its content.

You must be mistaken some where along that line.
GW was elected twice. the first time by what could be called shady dealings. the second time by a rather strong margin. Today it is not possible to find very many people that will admit they voted for him.

Seems like the second time Ronny was elected. No one voted for him but he won by a very large margin.

Everyone thinks Kennedy won by big margin and in truth it was just as close as GWs first election. Nixon bowed out and was very graceful about it and then became president later.

Seems like people note one way and espouse another.

Then they say they can't trust the government. How can the government trust the people.

Seldom do people vote in America based on fact.

Only one Vote?

Not around here,.. plenty of people go marching in " I just got off from work and you know how many polls say I voted at them? I'll tell you call them. Tell me the number to call. I want to report all this but the others wouldn't tell me. TELL ME THE.. "

Around here some people get no vote but they voted all over the place.

It's also fun when they decide to close early while there is a long line and give a time that if you're the next person in line you will be turned away.

The profound thinking behind the statement shows we, as a nation , have a lot of educating to do. Naturally we will get the President we vote for, based on the electoral vote, not the popular vote. Our foun ders developed a way to prevent the larger populated states from dominating through political power of numbers

HA HA HA HA HA HA! LMAO! HELL TO THE NO SIR! NEVER AGAIN, if ever before! But, I must say as much as I blindly hate republicans, there are no good Democratic candidates, (if there ever was). Hilary is trained politician and a liar, Edwards is just lame and so out of touch with the public........ he's out running for pregnancy with his wife battling cancer................ and Obama is inexperienced. He keeps playing into the hands of his enemy i.e. Hil' and making himself look worse. He should go back to just standing his ground on his issues instead of playing follow the leader.

I live in Mass. I vote for Republicans constantly, and it just doesn't make a difference.

People contradict themselves in applause because life is mostly gray, not black and white.
