In mathematics, an intercept is the coordinate of the point at which a curve intersects an axis. For example, an x-intercept or a y-intercept.

For that, the simple thing to do is make x = 0 to find y, & viceversa, make y = 0 to find x.

Simple!

to find the x and y intercept, replace x or y with 0.
5x+2y= -10
y- 5(0)+2y= -10
2y= - 10
2y/2 = -10/2
y = -5
5x+ 2(0)= -10
5x+0= -10
5x = -10
5x/5= -10/5
x= -2
