Amounts over $10,000US must be REPORTED to the Federal government to assist in tracking financial crimes. There is no limit to the amount actually transferred. Yen, of ANY major currency can be wired to a US bank. Unless the receiving bank allows accounts denominated in other currencies, the funds will automatically be exchanged for $US.

No limit on amount transferred; however, the Yen will will probably be exchanged for US$ by the financial institution receiving the money transfer.

You can wire funds internationally between Japan and the US. There is no limit.

no limit and yes you can either use a bank transfer of western union!!!
