There' people I would like to walk up and just talk to and meet, but there's always that fear of rejection, and the fact that the next day I have to see them.
I want to live with out thinking about consequeces (well besides the big ones ike 'this could kill me',etc)

Living like there is no tomorrow is overrated. It's for sociopaths. People like GG Allin. The reason people don't generally live like there is no tomorrow is because other people want something else, and they will all butt heads and clash and nobody will get to do what they want. That's why we make sacrifices and have responsibilities. It's give and take.
Another poster said that you can always live life without caring what others think, but if that's the case, then why would anybody close the bathroom door? I dare any person who says they don't care what other people think to take a #2 out in public, or to try and take a gun from a cop... unless you're afraid he might think you're trying to kill him.

I know the feeling but I think there is something good about being a little shy. Sometimes the person you are really interested in turns out to be a complete moron or a *****. I have been around for a while and I can tell you that the best policy is a smile and always be friendly when meeting new people. First impressions are important. Another good quality is being able to manage a terrible situation, how do you react under pressure? It is something to think about.

you can't live without thinking about consequences. but you can live life not caring what others think. people respect you when you stand up for what you believe in, your friends, etc. when people talk bad about me...i just tell them that their opinion of me does not affect the way i live my life.

sometimes we have to "fake it until we can make it."

don't know where the saying comes from, but basically it means that you have to go for it. "just do it" like the NIKE slogan. just pretend like you are confident until it starts coming naturally to you.
