A=P+Prt
Prt=A-P
t=(A-P)/Pr [dividing both sides by Pr]
=(652-400)/(400*0.07)
=252/28
=9
Therefore t=9 years

Prt = A - P
t = (A - P) / (Pr)
t = (652 - 400) / (28)
t = (252) / 28
t = 9

Note
You have used P and p.
Should be one or the other.

652 = 400 + 400(.07)t
252 = 28t
9 = t
