what is 10% of 19.00?

let me explain my friend makes 19.00 and for a shift differential it is 10% more for swings so how much would she actually be making an hour

you can use this to work out any percentage of any number
but lets use yours as the example

19.00 is the full amount
so that is 100% ok?
so to find 10%

divide 19.00 by 100
why 100?
well that gives you 1%
divide any number by 100 give u 1% of that number

you need 10% so then multiply by 10
gives you 1.90

if u wanted 20% multiply by 20 and so on :)
