A fun project I did in 4th grade was testing to see how long lip gloss/chapstick stayed on my lips. I used different flavors [but from the same brand], I think I used lip smackers. Its a great project because you wont have to buy anything [unless your sister doesnt have any lip gloss] and its totally fun for a young girl.

The rock candy crystal project is always fun and easy to do. You can buy a kit or find some instructions online to make it from scratch.

My physics teacher made ice cream with liquid nitrogen today. That would be pretty fun, if her teacher could help her get ahold of liquid nitrogen. I'm sure you can find a recipe for it online--just do a Google search.
The nitrogen went right into the ice cream!

iron filings and a magnet and paper
you can get em by dragging a magnet (a strong one) in some sand
or by filing on some iron
you will be able to see the lines of magnetic force if you put them on the paper and put the magnet behind it
if you are in a pilot program do something else though
