Think seriously about this, because if you look in history, George Bush isn't all that bad of a guy (but I guess that's just my opinion).

I think Andrew Jackson was the worst:
- He stole from the government's federal reserve
- He began the trail of tears
- He caused thousands of Indians to die
- He betrayed those who voted for him
- He used military force against protests
- He took Florida from the Spanish by force

- Ronald Reagan isn't that far behind Andrew Jackson, and Richard Nixon and George Bush are pretty close.

Bill Clinton comes to mind because I had to witness the excessive corruption but, for over all impact, I'd have to say FDR. In 1932, the American Socialist Party just got a few percent of the vote but, after the election, he took their platform plank by plank and renamed it the new deal. While most of his programs were ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, the damage was done. Historians credit his programs with lengthening the great depression by several years and the swing of the USA to socialism with all the problems it brought with it that are burdening the American people to this day and getting worse took off due to his policies. He apparently wasn't all that corrupt so if you base "worse" on corruption, then it is a virtual tie between US Grant and WJ Clinton.

I'm going to have to comment on the Lincoln choice. While I agree with what was said, he was walking a tightrope. His Sec't of War routinely countermanded Lincoln's orders making him effectively the commander in chief, the SoW was the leader of the radical and militant wing of the Republican Party (abolitionists), they hated each other, and everything was set up for a military dictatorship. In many cases, Lincoln had to do what he did to avoid this take over by the radicals. There is even strong evidence that this wing of the Republican party was the largest of the three financial backers of JW Booth. For these reasons only, I generally keep him out of my worst President list.

I agree with James all the way. Someone said in here that Obama was being blackmailed by the Clintons. I just think that the Demoncrats chose Obama because he was the most radical leftist LIBERAL in the Demoncratic party.....they chose him to do the dirty work. No matter how much money Government spends, things tend to get a lot worse. Wake up people, this was a PORKULUS bill. Obama promised you who voted for him that there would be NO EARMARKS in this bill!! All of it was mostly a SPENDING BILL and for BIGGER GOVERNMENT. I really think that Mr. Obama should step down from his position already. He's not doing good right now. Many just need to stop being in denial already and wake up and smell the coffee. All Obama wants is a Socialist government with his SOCIALIST AGENDAS. It all comes down to this, what this government has done was reward the ones who caused all this mess. When are Americans going to speak out against HIM and his gang??

Abraham Lincoln. Sure, I'm going to get a lot thumbs down for this, but it's undeniable.

The man is credited with 'unifying' the nation. Sure, after he made it fall apart. Rather then sit and wait out the Confederation's little tantrum, he initiated the bloodiest war in American history, which nearly resulted in the complete annihilation of the country, because he underestimated his enemy. Had the man waited, the South would have been pressed into peaceful reunification. He gets credit for emancipating the slaves, he was just in the right place at the right time. The only reason he did so, was to cripple the south's economy and ability to make war.

Jackson was pretty bad, but Carter is right up there in recent history.
Iran hostages 444 days
failed attempt to save them
20% interest rates
Double digit unemployment
NO gas
Gas rationing
pardoned the draft dodgers
Social Security into the General fund to balance the budget and its been the petty cash drawer since.
I'm sure I left out something.....I'll think of it. I hope to God I never have to live through a nightmare like that jerk again.

I completley disagree with the last part...
Honestly I really don't know who was the worst considering it matters a lot on the congress too since they could protest against something that the president does and stuff.

Ronald Reagon actually was one of our best president's...He helped America's economy A LOT

Richard Nixon definetly was a bad one.

Bush is HORRIBLE like no lie he has to be mentally ill to do stuff that he does and stuff that he pulls....

Clinton also wasn't amazing....he made America go in debt and basically started our problem and then 9/11 boosted it A LOT MORE ....if bloomberg wouldn't of helped NYC like he did donated all of that money...we could be in a lot of deep sh*t right now....he should run for president but most people won't vote from him becuase he's Jewish and there is too much anti-semitism in the world :\

I get tired of people slamming Bush and holding him personally responsible for the war.Read up on how he got very bad advise from his advisors, especially Rumsfield.Remember, Congress voted to go to war, yes that includes Hillary.

Floridians would probably disagree with you. The six points you make, are in sync with what the modern day presidents do, only they re more sneaking about it these days. As far as that goes, even the senators & represenatives do it. FLEECE US !!!!!!!!! We're not Americans, we're Fleecians...

The President is just a figurehead for a corrupt system. The true leaders of this country need a fall guy to take the blame.

A president is just a rep for the country, no more than a scapegoat.

I would have to say maybe Bill though.
