Bill Haley & the Comets released an instrumental version in 1960. Teresa Brewer released the song in 1949, when it became a #1 hit and also released a version in 1962

The only group I know in the 60's that recorded it,were:
The Sensations.
Got to mid 50's in Billboard hot100 in 1961
