If a man says he's bored with his home life (family and kids) bored with his work and his lover...is there anything anybody can do about it?

It is my opinion as a man that a man always needs a challenge or goal in his life. This is most probably relating to testosterone and the need to use it. An adenalin rush is the perfect answer to boredom and where better to get it than meeting a challenge or acheiving a goal.

There is nothing anybody can do. He is probably a chaos addict and when things are going good, he isn't happy. He wants some excitement, like a fight with his wife, his work place burning down, and his lover, you say? He's bored with his lover? Oh well he really does need help before he jumps off the Brooklyn Bridge dressed in a clown outfit. This guy is certifiable.

This is the same thing my wife told me when she went out to have a series of affairs. There is nothing anyone can do about it.
The affair is fresh and doesn't have the baggage of worrying about paying bills, staying up with sick children, hassles of school meetings and getting children to after school events, nor does it have the rough spots that occur with any marriage.
Every time she sees her lover, it is something exciting and new and a happy event. Being an escape from marriage reinforces the desire for the affair. She feels she is getting what she needs and deserves. She will justify cheating by creating reasons for the affair.
If you try to make your feelings known, she will no like hearing about you being hurt and leave. The cheated on spouse can't compete, all you can do is wait for the affair to burn itself out.

He could be depressed or a midlife crises. Sometimes we just get stuck in a rut and need a change in our jobs. If he is bored wih his lover, then there is a lot of talking that needs to happen to find out why.

BAD SIGN! Time for the game boys to be packed away in the attic somewhere or thrown away completely! Get off the ciouch from in front of that tv set & get out & actually play with the kids & go do something with the wife! Get involved in each othes lives & stop mulling around the house all the time! i understand that your titred when you get in from work, however, that is no excuse for allowing yiour family to drift apart from you!!!! Get up & do something with them!!! Fall in love again!!!!

If a man (or anyone else for that matter) is bored with spouse, children, job, etc. they probably have not tried to invest enough quality time in any of them.

Cause we need some kind of variety. if its the same thing everyday day in day out, I think it would drive anyone crazy.You will have to talk to him and see what he wants. if he is not willing to talk then your headed down a dead end road there.
