so i have a social security number and next year im going to be 16 and theres a few things you can do with that number if your my mother...
my mom is seriously not the best person out there. im really scared that she would go apply me for some money borrowing stuff, legally or illegally.>< trust me she will do that, and yes she is my mother T.T well i didnt live with her fir the first 13 years of my life =D this women will do anything for money..
is there a way that i can change it without her knowing because i dont want her to mess up my profile and stuff... please help

If your mom is as bad as you say, it's possible that she already has messed up your credit. You can get a credit report at annualcreditreport.com for free. Then put a block on your credit with all 3 of the credit agencies.

Unfortunately, Social Security will only change your number in extreme situations (sorry this isn't one of them).

Until you are a legal adult (usually 18), you can't do anything without her CONSENT. Even then, you can only get a new SSN if you convince the Social Security Administration that your number HAS BEEN and is STILL BEING used illegally.

No. you can't change it.

If your mom does something illegal, you need to press charges.

Sorry you have such a sucky mom.
