it really all depends on the education you have completed.. some pyschatrists can average as much as 100-200k a year.. of course you have to have like a masters in the stuff and spent like forever in school with good grades.. like to be that you have to go to med school as well and get your ph.d degree.. same **** a doctor has to do.. instead you study the brain..

It is a private practice and they make profits according to how many clients they have and how much overhead they have.
That is why so many are leaving the field. It is expensive to maintain overhead for a private practice.
