Nebraska is to storied a program, rich in tradition, great loyal fan base, to stay average for any real amount of time. Dont expect it to happen over night though, lots of work to do yet to get back into national spotlight. Dont know who would be best choice for a coach, but the Nebraska job will interest lots of young talented coachs. Please dont hire Turner Gill just because it seems to be the politically correct thing to do, we tried that at Oklahoma with John Blake and brother was that ever a disaster. Best of luck to the Huskers, cant wait to see you in Norman.

Next coach, dont know. I am a USC fan and they had some pretty lean years for a while. People were saying that no top recruits wanted to come there anymore, the campus is in the middle of a war zone, they will never be good again, etc. You dont hear any of that now with Pete Carroll as the coach. Nebraska is a time tested and true great football school. Most of the teams in their conferance are not. When they get the right coach again they will be back. Hang in there.

I think it should be Turner Gill. The Huskers will be a top 10 team in 2 years.

they ALREADY have their head coach its Tom Osborne no matter who they bring in to sit on the side-line....he will make most of the decisions anyways,Bo Pelini will be the man only if they give him a long contract (5-6 yrs)
