What exactly does a debate have to do with the writers strike?

Unless the Democrats couldn't find any writer's to write questions for the audience or answers for the candidates.

What say you?

Bubba...I think you're correct on there being no one to write questions for the plants in the audience.

If we read the entire news item instead of just grabbing the sound bite that fits our preset world view, we learn that the Democrats won't cross the writers' picket line to enter the studio where the debate was to be held.

That is strange. Maybe it was because due to ICE crackdown. Really why would they need writers. I could come up with a questin for Hillary. Senator Clinton lwhich is your favorite Barbie doll? What type paint does it have on it and would you lick, would any of you worthless senators eat the paint off that doll?!!! Then I would have to run as they would be after me after they tazzed me and found i had on my rubber suit. Take care.

They couldn't get enough actors to fill the audience due to their not wanting to cross the picket line.

demos have to pander to unions so they cannot cross the line and besides they donot have original ideas and thoughts so they may need writers.
