I am conserned that my well water has an issue because it smells like onions to me. I dont know why. Please help me out if you know why this smells like that.

Some of the onion's smell comes from sulphur. Could be that you have higher levels of sulphur in your water.

There are a couple things that could cause that. The most obvious is wild onions. These things are buried in the ground and spread like weeds. The tops could be pretty flowers or just look like large grass blades. Their smell gets every where through the dirt and can over power even flowers they seep their scent into >.<

You might be intupering another smell as like Onion though,.. like people have various taste and smell responces to the metals.

Can you get things tasted/checked by pros that can physically be there? We can't use all our senses and even if we had kits to test levels,.. we still would need to be there.

I have heard that certain poisons smell like onions. I don't remember which ones at the moment. I do know that wells can sometimes get chloroform in them from being under-used, and that water professionals advise putting bleach down the well to cure the problem. Get your water tested!

maybe your filters are dirty/clogged
