If she's escaping, don't bother to swaddle, the last thing you want is for the blanket to end up over her face. Just switch to warm legged pjs, or those sleep sacks. I personally love the sleep sacks because they're warm like a blanket, and you can even leave a short sleeved onesie on underneath.

Use a larger blanket, or a blanket designed for swaddling, or the diaper pin idea.
Otherwise you can also make a tight sleep sack if you can sew. As it will be closed at the bottom it can't end up over her face.

I would say it is time to let it go. My son never liked being swaddled in fact he never liked being covered up with a blanket. He would always get out or kick until he had the blanket off. I just dressed him in a onesie and long sleeved footed sleeper and did without a blanket. If your worried about her rolling over onto her belly you might want to invest in a sleep positioner.

We gave up on swaddling our son at one week. That said, he was also having no trouble going to sleep.
Try the "swaddleme" velcro wrapping swaddlers (link below so you can see them - they're available all over the place) Then she can't escape, and you don't have to worry about the blanket getting over her face.
Swaddling is supposed to soothe babies who need it. If you decide to quit swaddling, Halo and Kiddopotamus make sleep sacks so you don't have to worry about the blanket (again).
Hope this helps.

If it helps her sleep, keep it!
If it is coming unwrapped, wrap so the "tail" ends up at the front and use a diaper pin to hold it in place.
We had to get a big piece of cloth to swaddle our son in because he was an escape artist too. I used a length of cotton gauze and religiously followed the instructions in "The Happiest Baby on the Block" by Dr. Harvey Karp

My son did the same thing.I would just put her in long sleeve and legs pajamas and let her sleep without a blanket. Our son slept on his tummy because of breathing problems. He still likes to kick off blankets at 5 months and can also roll over each way.

I never bothered swaddling my daughter. She was always happiest in my arms, in the sling, or sleeping next to me.

Maybe she is not comfortable. It is not going to hurt her to not be swaddled.

How cute! I remember this with all three of mine. I agree with the majority. You probably just need to switch to a warm snuggly sleeper (pj). She will sleep well eventually. Try to get some naps in until then. Good luck!
